Thanks, Katy!

The Lo Tishkach Foundation bids a fond farewell to Katy Nicholson who is leaving us to join the Migration Policy Group, a Brussels-based NGO working closely with the European Commission.

Katy joined Lo Tishkach in 2006 in the earliest days of the organisation and has been a key element in building up the organisation to what it is today. She served initially as research director, authoring ground-breaking reports on the legislative structure governing Jewish burial grounds in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Since 2008, she has been responsible for running Lo Tishkach’s education projects in Ukraine and now in the Baltic States.

Katy’s contribution to Lo Tishkach has though in no way been limited only to her specific job description. She has contributed in all areas of the organisation as a valuable and key member of our team. It is also appropriate that we announce this formally in the newsletter and on the website, both projects developed to what they are today through Katy’s hard work, vision, teamwork and commitment to the future development of the foundation. We all wish Katy well in her new endeavours.

Andreas Becker, our current research co-ordinator, will be taking over from Katy as Lo Tishkach’s programmes manager. Andreas will co-ordinate all Lo Tishkach’s education projects in Ukraine and the Baltic States.
