The following Jewish cemeteries and Holocaust mass grave sites in Latvia urgently require marking or memorialising. ZEMGALE REGION
Asote Jewish Cemetery – The site requires appropriate signage.
Auce Jewish Cemetery – The site requires appropriate signage.
Bauska Old Jewish Cemetery – The site requires appropriate signage.
Jekabpils Jewish Cemetery – Appropraite signage and regular maintenance are required at this site.
Jelgava Jewish Cemetery – The site needs to be demarcated.
Krustpils Jewish Cemetery – Demarcation and appropriate signage are needed at this site.
Krustpils Mass Grave – At this marked site, mass killings of Jews took place in 1941 and 1942. Appropriate demarcation is lacking.
Nereta Mass Grave I – Members of several local Jewish families were murdered and buried here between July and August, 1941. A memorial sign is required to mark this site.
Skaistkalne Jewish Cemetery – The cemetery needs to be demarcated and requires appropriate signage. Excess vegetation should be removed annually.
Tukums Jewish Cemetery – The cemetery needs to be demarcated and requires appropriate signage. Excess vegetation should be removed annually.
Tukums Mass Grave II – This mass grave site from July 1941 is marked by a memorial stone that requires cleaning and reparation.
